What did you like about the class? I enjoyed learning about how the development of our personality is influenced by some many outside factors. Sigmoid-Freud theory of development and its stages.
What was your favorite activity or project? The brain model out of play-doh. Analyzing Friends for psychological elements.
What didn't you like about the class?I didn't like the really long step through the sections and the long-readings of the book at times However, I did enjoy reading interesting ones like the Milgram experiment. =)
What do you think I should leave out next year? Nothing, hopefully just to build off this already fun class by adding more exciting lessons.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas for things I could do next year in AP Psych? Using the chapter at a glance as extra credit rather than stepping through the section, right off the bat.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas for next semester in AP Econ? Make it as fun as Psych was. Same amount of extra credit opportunities maybe?
P.S. Thank you Mrs. Halfen for making Psychology for a enjoyable experience and introducing me to this very interesting subject. I even selected Psychology as one of my majors because I hope to learn more about it. See you in Economics next semester.

Week 5-Teens Playing Video Games
It has often been said that teens who play video games tend to be more violent and aggressive that the teens that have not played. But a survey published by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has shown that video games are actually a more positive social action for teens. In my opinion, I believe in these finding because I also believe video games have become a important element in the development of a child in the 21st century. It allows a way of interaction with others because video games is mainstream now and the video game industry has adapted to the family unit by creating systems that allow members of a family to participate. For example, Rock Band which is a fun, entertaining game that is family-oriented. It allows many people to participate in that one game. As a result, it brings a family back together for quality time. Instead of the assumption that a violent game causing a child to be more violent, it can be viewed as a way of releasing stress. Maybe the violent game is a way of expression rather than actually going out in real life and causing violence which is not tolerated. In conclusion, hopefully, video games will be viewed as a positive element of society that is bringing families together and a way of releasing stress for children.
Week 4: Personality Tests
Jung Typology Test- I am a ENFJ, 33% Extraverted, 38% Intuitive, 12% feeling, and 44% percent judging. All moderately extraverted, intuitive, and judging and slightly feeling personality type. I think this test acurately breaks down my personality because I do view myself as a analytical type.
The Sim Personality Type- 8 for neat, 6 outgoing, 8 active, 5 playful, and 7 nice. I agree with the results except I believe I am more playful than the test suggests. But besides that, I agree that I like to be neat and I enjoying nice to others like helping people out.
Big Five-Expressive Style-3.10, Interpersonal style- 4.70, Work Style- 4.00, Emotional Style- 3.80, and Intellectual Style is 3.90. I agree with the results because I do like to interact with people but not necessarily like to know their whole life story. But everything else is pretty accurate, I enjoy sympathesizing with other people and enjoy analyzing situations.
Attractiveness Test-
Your overall average rating of attractiveness was 6.04, and the average rating by others is 3.73.
You tended to rate the pictures presented as more attractive than the average person.
I had a higher rate of attraction for pictures of seductive and intelligent people and lower for people of cheerful and counter-culture people. This test proves that I do not like the rebellious types. However, I don't this test is accurate because all your doing is rating a initial appearance and not getting the opportunity to judge a person on other categories.
EQ test- I had a EQ of 51 which is a high emotional intelligence. I believe this is true because I often enjoying helping people with their own personal problems and trying to relate with them. I believe persistence will carry a person to success.
